Without Whatsapp, I lost touch with my siblings for years, who didn't want to use email. Unlike facebook and Slack that can be accessed from the web, and one can turn off the broswer or the computer, Whatsapp is linked to a phone number, and requires the app on the phone. If I only have one phone, I cannot switch it off, and therefore, I cannot switch off Whatsapp, thus my refusal to use it. Eventually, my sister let me scan the QR code from my mom's phone so I can access the family chat from the web (requires occasional video chat to scan the QR code). Whatspp is easily the most obnoxious platform of the modern day.

i feel for you. if im to write about how hard it is to live without WhatsApp, it would be a long article.

yet im afraid even if i do write, and people do read, they would likely be thinking, what's the point of insisting to avoid WhatsApp at all
